The purpose of Supervisory Safety Training On-Line is to provide a convenient way for line supervisors to get the basic skills they need to do their job effectively. This training allows a supervisor to work at his own pace and time, with all work being done on-line. No travel or group meetings are required for this training. The material is designed for first and second line supervisors in industrial operations. The content and structure of the training modules will provide general knowledge and skills in each of the subject areas. This training is intended to complement the specific OSHA requirements and the safety training required by the supervisor's company. Certification of Course Completion can be obtained for the training course "Practical Safety for Supervisors." Individual subject areas in supervisory safety skills
can be selected as needed.

Subjects are broken into two broad categories:
Each of the categories is composed of independent training modules which can be selected as needed by the supervisor. The content of the modules focuses on skills related to supervisors who work in an industrial environment. Most training modules and their review tests can be completed in less than an hour. A supervisor can receive a Supervisory Program Certificate of Completion when test on all Core Modules and selected special training modules have been passed. Individual modules of single subjects can be selected as
needed. This allows supervisors to pick and choose subjects that relate directly
to their areas of responsibility.
The Supervisory Safety Training Program offers a selected course of study to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and skills in the subject area selected. You will complete a series of Core Modules that should apply to every line supervisor in an industrial setting. After completing the Core Modules, you would then select additional safety subject areas that are particularly relevant to your supervisory responsibilities. After each module you will complete a Review test to gauge your understanding of the material presented. Your progress will be automatically tracked and a Certificate of Completion will be sent to you when all selected modules have been completed. You will have one year to complete the selected program. The CD Version is licensed to the user on permanent basis. A number or the training modules should have particular application to your
supervisory responsibilities. You should review the summary of these modules to
determine which ones have application to your operations.
When a supervisor completes the Training Course, "Practical Safety for Supervisors," a Certificate of Completion can be issued, if requested. The Training Course is made up of several Core Modules that are required, and a selection of more specialized modules that are selected based on the interest and needs of the person taking the Training Course. There is no minimum number of specialized modules required because the needs of each supervisor would be significantly different, depending on the type of work supervised. Certification does require that the Review test be completed for each module selected with accumulated tests score of 70% or higher. This testing helps affirm that the supervisor understood the content of the material presented in each module. Certification of Completion for the Training Course can be sent after the last selected module Review test is completed and requested by the supervisor. Individual training modules can be taken, but certification will not be given for individual modules. Review test may or may not be taken, at the discretion of the supervisor, before moving on to another module.
